I know you have all been
dying to know the day to day activities of our little family huh?
Well, as much as I would love to give you the minute to minute run down, I will just give you a quick synopsis and spare you a lot of reading and boredom.
Let's start with the youngest, shall we?
She is still crazy (unique) as ever, but such a sweet hearted little thing. She just brings joy, laughter and sunshine to us daily. She is coming along with her talking and surprises us every day with a new word or two. She realized a week ago that she did not like the feeling when she couldn't make it to the toilet in time, so she has been telling me when she needs to go and is in full force potty training. She's not even
2 people!!!!! She is doing number 1 and 2's every day and has been wearing panties like a big girl. She is very clever I must say.
She just oozes with character,
and humor
and cuteness

and beauty!
Next is the dynamo girl herself Miss Chloe.
She is 7 and just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. She is an overachiever in everything she does and excels in school and reading. In case you didn't know she taught herself to read at 4 and loves to read anything she can get her hands on. She is in a special reading group at school, or was (school just got out...yay!!!) and they put a little play on for the 1st graders and parents.
She is witty like her Grandma Leyland. Just full of the good old English wit. She is such a great helper to me with Annabelle. They love being sisters and to watch them interact just makes my heart melt. They love playing "kitchen" when I cook. We all have on our aprons of course, and Annie and Chlojo pretend to cook with old spice jars, bowls and wooden spoons. There were never better sisters.
Chloe also loves animals, bugs and anything in nature. She lovingly takes care of our wild bunnies out back. Feeding them often and well.

Next is the main man himself... Mr.Connor. He is a darling, sweet and brave boy.
As the oldest he protects and loves his little sisters. Sometimes he gets a big kick out of frustrating or teasing them but most of the time is tender and loving with them. Very protective of Annabelle especially.
He is so much like me, yet so much like his daddy. We love to watch the history channel and learn about things most kids would think was a total bore. Or explore about history in books and on the Internet. He is a fast runner. He recently won all the races in field day at school. Even teachers were not able to keep up with him. His athletic ability is amazing.
One thing that has really intrigued me lately is his love of all things military. He would watch the military channel all day if he could. He wants to be a pilot when he grows up and makes paper airplanes that astound us. He can fly those things at such speed and to such far distances. He loves to learn about WW2 history and battles especially. It scares me for some reason but then I have to remember that both of his grandfathers were pilots, so I guess it is in his blood. One was a bomber and one a fighter pilot and both survived the war. I can't tell him enough stories about them.
He is a great boy. I am so lucky to have him.
I was able to attend a field trip with him and his 3rd grade class. Here is more info about it on my other blog
here
Dan and I are still alive and kicking. Still in love with one another after 11 years of being married ( holy cow)
He is still growing his Employee benefits insurance company
here is his website. We hope to continue growing and then sell up one day.
Daniel is serving on the Bishopric and I am the visiting teacher coordinator. Why does this sound like a Christmas card???
Anyway- I have found a new love of gardening and planted our first
ever garden this year. I am so happy each day as I watch things grow. It is addictive and so rewarding.
I continue to dabble in my creative pursuits and painting and sewing have been a real joy to me lately. Hence my blog
art-n-sewl :)
Anyhoooo- life is good and with the summer started we can only expect awesomely fun days ahead. We still love living in S.C. and we are very thankful for each day here. We miss our family in England and all over the states so greatly though. Can you all just move here already?
Love y'all
The Leylands
Oh and the song playing is the Leyland family song at the moment that we all sing together at high levels when ever it is on.
-Peace out peeps-
